I hate the "why aren't women having more kids" framing because it begins in the assumption that women's duty is to reproduce and their decisions are wrong. I'd love to see more "what do women want? whats keeping them from achieving it? how can we make that possible?"
Agree that many people who want kids are afraid to have them for that exact reason, especially in places with work all the time cultures. I just like to advocate for the value of those who just don't wanna have kids. Women especially.
I 100% agree that fixing social systems and making everyone feel secure enough to have children would be AWESOME. Also, it appears that in places with strong social safety nets, more and more people are choosing not to have children. And I think that is just fine, too!
Scotland has detected no cases of cervical cancer in women born between 1988-1996 who were fully vaccinated against HPV between the ages of 12 and 13.
In a large Scottish study, no cases of cervical cancer were found among women who received HPV vaccines before they turned 14.
Love this!
Meanwhile, a few entire towns just got destroyed by a climate-change-enhanced hurricane. But sure, go off about a picture frame getting soup on it.
It is pretty interesting that folks in the replies don't seem to be aware that nothing these kids did ever destroyed works of art. Did you read the articles or just react to kids being "out of line." Maybe you ought to sit with yourselves and really ask why this is making you so mad.
