I grew up in Blackpool - unfortunately I don't appear in any of the pictures (I would have been 7yo) 🙂. Nice to see these Peter.

Twr Mawr - Island of the Blessed, Anglesey, Wales 📷 When I ran a poll of my first year of photography (2023) this one came out top. It was probably one of the hardest earned given the walk to and from the location.

A white painted lighthouse stands on top of a rocky outcrop with stairs leading up to it. Behind the sea is rough with white waves crashing against the shore. The sky is partly cloudy with a golden glow from the sun setting to the right of the frame.

I was there on Wednesday, light wasn't great so when the rain came I called it a day. I need to go back on a calm sunny evening, Ithink 🤔

West Cumbrian traffic jam 📷 On route to Wast Water I encountered a little bit of a hold up. #photography

The walk back from Devoke Water 📷 Had a scout around Devoke Water yesterday but the weather was lousy so I packed my camera away and headed back to the car. Took this with my phone on the way back. #photography

A narrow country lane leads off into the distance towards a tree. On both sides of the lane are high dry stone walls. The sky is dark grey with a small patch of lighter clouds on the right side of the horizon.

Yewbarrow and Great Gable 📷 These are my favourite peaks in the Lake District and whilst Yewbarrow (left) is a tiddler compared to surrounding peak it’s still a proper challenge. The weather was a little too good yesterday, that being said I’m grateful as this trip pushed the range limit of my EV

A photo of the top end of Wast Water showing two distinctive peaks Yewbarrow (left) and Great Gable (right). Great Gable is partly covered by mist.

Thanks Ennerdale Horseshoe, that’s a serious hike, I might have managed that in my youth but those days are sadly gone. I had to google it, not sure I’d class that one as a horseshoe given the descent needed to get over to Pillar. Must have been an epic day. 👍
