Yes. I went to (state) school a long time ago, but even then the "cool kids" subtly altered the uniform. Even so, I'm not necessarily against it if it's cheap & practical - unlike another school I went to (square neck Viyella blouses!)
Possibly, but it's also well known that some groups tend to apply when they meet 10 pc of the specs & others don't if they meet 80pc. And in unis at least the criteria are often that you have to be outstanding at everything...
Blind CVs aren't the same as blind auditions. In some fields it's well known that on average women undersell themselves, and if all you have is a CV then that can make it less likely they're shortlisted
Yes but only after being found out, he can't have intended to pay it back. It's the massive sense of entitlement that makes me angry. And he's still an MSP, he hasn't lost that job
Watching football on the iPad is innocuous, but claiming the over £10k cost of it as a legitimate expense isn't. It doesn't feel that funny up here, at least not to me
The only way is ethics?
Yes. We (or at least I) also vastly underestimate the actual cost of healthcare because it's free here. Some 1810 parish records I saw had annual rent at £2 and a doctor's bill of £4 which shocked me until I realised I had no idea what the current medical costs would be.
Troll me if you like but DW has been great for minorities. It's the reason I'm a mathematician - possibly not the best choice in hindsight, but it was only an option because of some of the v early companions
Yes. Same thing for me - xitter seems to be looking for/blocking codes even without the first bit. Can you set up a temporary email to send codes to?
