Just because other people misapply or warp concepts and ideas doesn't mean those concepts and ideas aren't still useful and important.

I agree with this and I also find it hard sometimes. Sometimes I can see the clear value in a concept and fight for it - but other times I reactively recoil from the contamination and drop it like a hot rock -

The idea that there's any form of language that possesses objective meaning and cannot be disputed is impossible to me - but depressingly popular.

Very true. Logic is still logic no matter how much or how many times people manipulate those concepts for others.
