London history folks: I need to consult some mss at the BL. I used the form on the site to ask if there was some way to guarantee access to them when I visit in November. What are my chances of success and is there someone I can contact directly in the Asian and African collections? 🗃️

I was able to consult Arundel 292 there last week, so the basics of ordering and fetching are working. They were using paper order slips last week, but apparently next month they should have an online order system set up.

I believe you will need to renew your readers’ pass, so bring proof of address and passport. Ursula Sims-Williams is the India collections curator I speak to the most; for art Malini Roy.
