Scariest thing I've ever watched. Was truly frightened. Certain scenes still haunt me years after watching it. His finest drama, though Midnight Mass runs it close.
Don't dislike chocolate, but not really a fan. I liked it more as a kid and have a real fondness for choc bars of yesteryear. Really don't get people foaming at the mouth over variant chocolate products.
An alien coming down would have assumed Corbyn was a mass murderer the way he was treated. His politics were different from theirs - not a crime. Yet Johnson is still lauded as a great man by the Daily Fail etc. Last time I checked, he was still a buffoon with the morals of an alley cat.
I said that to my wife half an hour ago. She won the Best Actress Oscar, for Christ's sake!
Volume 2 : 2010 to 2024 would be enormous - you could do a book for every year.
People like him diminished our place in the world. They had no interest at all in foreign policy, and withdrew our influence for good in other countries. Our soft power through the arts has been so beneficial for us. The Tories hate the arts. Mickey Mouse degrees, they called them. Idiot!
Fuming about something! A bird on a mission. Don't get in its way.
You all look completely sozzled!🤣 Congrats to the whole team on such well-deserved accolades. You're all so much better now you're free of the shackles of impartiality. Such experience, knowledge and insight that are second to none.
So much part of my childhood - loved the books and the tv show. "Good grief!" is a phrase I often use, along with the "Waa waa waa waa waa waa,waa waa waa waa" of the teacher. Yet so few people in the UK know it that well. A real shame.
Waterland is just incredible. If you find the Fens as creepy and otherworldly as I do, then this is the one for you. Such a clever and powerful novel. Love all of Swift's works, but this is the best of them. Read it many times, and its power never diminishes.
