OK...the NWS Bot collection is now fully populated and ready to go. I'm sure bugs will come up along the way, but I think it is 95%+ stable. There's an index page at nws-bot.us including a map (borrowed from NWS) to find the right bot for the area you want to follow.
I mean, that still has the chance to be an amazingly accurate prediction!
I knew a biologist--still do technically, she's not dead--who went on a field expedition and came home with a NASTY code. No symptoms but absolutely DEVASTATING congestion. She was talking like a plugged-up cartoon character for months. Nothing helped.
You could absolutely train an AI model on his speeches and it would be indistinguishable from the real thing. Not because it would be coherent but because his speeches are so incoherent.
Yeah. O’Connor says they waived the privilege by not raising it again explicitly in their second amended discovery objections (and by not starting to do the search while they objected). Even from what he quotes, I don’t see it.
Yeah. Getting an immediate appeal for this is hard. It shouldn’t be, but it is.
(I should add that I think the waiver finding looks pretty bogus. They specifically raised the same concerns as in NAACP. And I’m not sure I’d buy that X overcame the privilege either.)
I wrote an article about why such discovery orders rejecting 1A right-of-association privilege claims (like NAACP) should be immediately appealable after Bonta. O’Connor’s opinion is based on both waiver and overcoming the privilege, so I don’t know how well an appeal would go.
Yeah. What does “on the ICE Docket” actually mean?
I mean, that seems patently absurd.
