Kid2's dressing change was today. I don't know whether to laugh or cry at his description. They asked our 15yo if he lived alone (?!), gave him meals on wheels and lifeline brochures, and wanted him to sign consent forms. Not sure I have confidence in VON medical care based on this.

I need a vacation!

My mum got a ridiculous offer on her house, which she countered, they accepted but then it fell through due to financing (no pre-approval?), and it's the week before hockey tryouts where parents are panicked and emailing me like crazy about overdue payments.

In the last 10 days: husband got hit hard with a gastro bug, kid2's bicycle accident wound got infected and he spent 6 days in the IWK, I was at a conference in QC and Porter cancelled/rebooked me a day later without telling me, 1/2

Hear hear! The last 10 days have been a dumpster fire at our house too. I'm not going to invade your thread with it but I just want to say I commiserate.
