Got games group next week, and for theming related reasons, I couldn’t help but dust off the PSTV and get it going again. I’m always a little sad this & the Vita flopped, there are some genuinely lovely games, and having a way to run them on the big screen is kind of neat.
Ha! It’s just what happens when the focus is on home computer stuff - I’m sure for folks who grew up on microcomputers it’ll be pretty conventional, outside of a few rarer titles… ;)
It certainly channels the aesthetic of 70s sci-fi alright. Even if the game has you scooting about on a single world between various alien cities, instead of roaming about in SPACE!
Post a random game from your collection… *shock* and I’m actually doing it on a SATURDAY!
Mind you, picking a mid-pack team and getting all excited 'cause your drives finish 8th & 9th is certainly something. (Because unlike the real scoring system, you get points for those positions, and cash for upgrades…)
Don't normally find myself playing management games all that much, but I've been surprisingly engrossed with Golden Lap lately. Not sure if it's the combo of '70s F1, or the more minimalist/streamlined interface, but it's been surprisingly engrossing to play. www.youtube.com/watch?v=nkgM...

This sounds horrible! 😢 Hoping the menthol (and any other meds you've taken) help so you can get some rest!
Seeing MIGW is all but a week away (AAAH) - here’s where I’ll be around. No surprise to say it’s as a punter - no panels or talks, which considering how dry things have been for the last while :) Really looking forward to seeing friends - it’ll be a good jolt for morale!
Seeing there's been an influx of folks following of late, thought I'd go and reshare the intro post I knocked up last year! So hi! (I don't really have much dev stuff to talk about being ~2 years out of work, and feeling kinda burnt out on personal gamedev stuff. So yay on that!)
