4th September 1979. A photo-booth on the gallery walkway above the Castle Market in Sheffield. Goodness me I loved Letraset, it made everything look legitimate.

29/08/1994. At the time of release, this wasn't a shoo-in for number one on the album chart. We were up against a Three Tenors Live album from Warners. when we got the midweeks through, it was clear that, as Tim Abbot artfully put it: "three fat blokes shouting are no match for the mighty Oasis!"
29.08.1980. DVA played two sets, the first one was semi-improvised. Then De Tian played, followed by Bob Baker (PTI) with his now legendary blood and offal performance, which I describe in my diary as "quite frightening". DVA then closed with North Loop, Uncertain, Sensorium, 4 Hours, Piano Pain.
