4. Ravenloft is a good example of each GM having a different version, especially when there were less iterations. You can make any Brothers Grimm type story happen even just leaven the castle as an imposing threat.

3. The nostalgia goggles are on and I see bottle caps and deathclaws. Fallout is great for any earthbound post-apocalyptic scifi story.

2. Orn by @emielboven.bsky.social is a great science fantasy world with a unique magic system that encourages adventuring for "Elder Ink". A great example of how a concise setting write up can go a long way. I would even consider transplanting Titan Port into most other worlds just for the factions!

1. Dolmenwood by NecroticGnome for whimsical medieval fantasy. If you like incorporating both folklore and historical elements into your game, look no further than this hexcrawl. Great factions, encounters and grounded ancestry options. Char Gen is simple yet instantly connects you to the world.

Sometimes I feel like I just want to run the game I wish I could play in, but I think the truth for me personally is that I want to see how my players react to different scenarios. I'll have and idea or read something or see a new world in media and immediately think what it would look like to run.

There's probably more context to what you're saying, but I absolutely understand what you're talking about. Leftists are always calling people liberals and asserting that anyone who is anti capitalist and can see conservatives / fascists are the problem should agree with them on every matter.
