Ugh. Quiche is delightful. Men that wouldn't eat it because of homophobia were missing out. Way to spike your hand to spite your neighbor. 🤦🏻 Stop Being Stupid. Can that be the new Talking Heads concert film?
I really wish people could hear what a genius Jupiter is and offer him large sums of money to produce amazing albums.
This wasn't how I planned it, because I never had a plan.
Ok. One more.
This one is kind of raw. I tried to recreate and refine Darin Doyle's unorthodox drumming from when he and I recorded this on the 4-track.
I set down Rage by Stephen King and had a tune in my head, which I figured out (I never do this) and then wrote this song around that tune.
Another time Jupiter Jones brought so much to one of my songs that it elevated it from some simple changes to edging on Steely Dan territory. Like Jen's space biker, we're all looking for some sense.
Sometimes you're tired of writing about your loss and just want to think about the world or goofy things that people get into, like dumb religions, etc.
I could really stand to see a good film version of this. And just this goofy. Either live action or animated would be fine, I just want to see this kind of word play out in the world again. I can imagine how ready I was when I got this book having lived with my dad and watched Electric Company.
At a time when I was struggling with coming up with arrangements, I put this song together just the way I wanted it.* I was told this was like a theme song for me or something. lol *I think I'd want to be more on beat and pitch, and a slightly better mix, but then again, I mean, I like it as is.
Andy Willey told me he thought this was an important song to me, like it was a song that related my frame of mind or who I am, or something. I don't know what he was getting at exactly, but I suppose
Where was I?
I must continue my reread.
