Are Iranian missiles accurate enough to hit runways or hangars intentionally?
By that logic, we should be okay with tobacco lobbyists in government because lobbying is a right. Protecting bad people is a choice with that should have consequences for a person's reputation and future job prospects, that doesn't mean there's a shortage of people willing to make that trade.
Presumption of innocence is a legal principle, society in general doesn't and shouldn't be expected to operate that way. Lawyers should absolutely be judged for the work they do and the people they choose to protect, and how they make their money, like anyone else in any other profession.
Thinking back to WW2, when the US govt would say they were concerned about the persecution of Jewish people in Europe, then actively sabotaged attempts to save Jewish lives in Europe. The State Department is more run by the prejudices of the people in office than the rule of law.
There needs to be more accountability for the Alan Dershowitzs of the world for the Epsteins of the world to actually face justice. Right to counsel doesn't mean lawyers aren't responsible for who they defend or the legal tactics they use. You can't take their money & come out with ur ethics intact.
Watched the BBC doc on Al Fayed being a pedo/predator. Can only think of the supporting staff and lawyers who buried allegations and intimidated victims. The Alan Dershowitzs of the world. There is something wrong with the legal system that people who knowingly exculpate predators have no liability.
Imagining what would have happened if the US had bombed Bin Laden killing hundreds, instead of doing a precision strike with seal team 6. Even if you fully accept the premise of Hezbollah being a terrorist organisation, it kills any moral high ground to needlessly endanger civilians.

Being trans and receiving these flyers in the mail has been highly upsetting. It should not be legal to send hate speech through the mail.
