If you turn the brightness up way too high it becomes Aliens: Dark Dissent.

Aliens: Dark Descent is a weird pastiche of Starcraft RPG maps, X-COM, NES Metal Gear games, and PS1 indie horror design and it works surprisingly well despite being kind of a weird mess. The weird messiness of it helps sell the fantasy of the setting and role.

There was a period in my life where this would have been incredibly useful not as entertainment but as education.

I'm probably not the first person to have an idea like this, but I want a cooking competition show where the contestants get an assortment of ingredients from a poor college student's kitchen and have to make real food out of ketchup packets, ramen, hamburger helper, some iffy kimchi, and zoodles.

Dark Descent seems neat but it is not what I was expecting from the game. Flashlight mechanic seems smart so far.

I don't think 1990 saw the same dramatic ideological split between young voters and older voters on this issue (in the Democratic party). Not sure when that shift happens, but unless under 30 voters age into loving Israel it seems inevitable.
