It feels like the opposite to me: a denial of death rather than a reminder. A digital memento mori might be more like using actuarial tables to work out the most likely age at which you'll die and setting a countdown timer on your desktop.

Good point. I suppose I am focussing on the creepiness of having someone who isn't there seem to be after they've died
