Except that 100w light bulbs are now replaced with 12w halogen or led equivalents. Shame we can't make our brains 8x more efficient. Maybe we need AI to counter Natural Stupidity?

I was always in favour of having nuclear in the generation mix, but we should have refreshed the capability 30 odd years ago. It's too late now. With renewables taking off it must be more cost effective to develop power storage options to cover fluctuations in supply and demand.
