Playing around with a UV dive light looking at solitary Fungia corals in a water table —amazing diversity of fluorescence patterns across otherwise very similar-looking individuals

Seeing a lot of these Yellowbanded Pipefish around the reef on Mo'orea. This one was hanging out on a patch of zoanthids (relatives of anemones and corals) & when it moved the polyps would react by curling up & revealing their white undersurface —you can see fish at end of its "trail" in the 2nd pic
