8/ However, the agent (of the West London flat above a shop) did, of course, immediately re let the property again !!! 🙄😡 Bleeping London Estate agents and letting agents. A 20 year nightmare of constantly being conned. I'm so glad I do not live in a city now.

7/ again, I argued that it left me too vulnerable to not being sure of how long I could stay there and would necessitate me moving again at the end of the CPO process. I said I had been seeking a long-term rental, not short-term temporary. Therefore, I was unhappy. Eventually the agent let me go/8

6/ the other flat was above a shop in West London and again after I moved in I found the block of flats and shops was subject to a compulsory purchase order - due to be demolished by the council and turned into a car park. The agent waffled that it was a rentable flat but only for 6 months .../7

5/ it took me a month of arguing with the letting agents to get agreement to release me from the lease *and* refund all the rent and deposit money I had paid as I pointed out the agents had advertised the property under false pretences, and they were aware of the situation when they advertised .../6

4/ but if that was the case and the flat had been rented out for the previous years, then why had none of the previous rent been paid to the mortgage company 🤔 🙄 ..... so I told the agents where to stuff their stupid offer up their arses. .... /5

3/ after I moved in and became aware of the situation (bailiffs and final demand letters in the post for the landlord) the agent tried to persuade me to stay - said if I continued to pay the rent, the rent of £600 pcm would cover the £300 mortgage and the arrears but ..../4

2/ a flat where the landlord was bankrupt and a possession order existed on the house for mortgagees to repossess within 30 days. Yet strangely, when I had viewed the flat, the agents had removed the "possession notice" from the front of the property and then ..../3

😁 Twice I had to "walk away" from rental properties after less than 40 days as the letting agents had let out properties unfit for rental. As there was no easy way to do this (viz 6 month AST) I had to scream and shout and get very aggressive with the abhorrent agencies. The two properties were.../2

According to Bloomberg, Brexit is costing the economy £100 billion per year,so surely the best way to fix the “black hole” would be to rejoin the EU?
