In the current study, we tested the effect of reward value on the monkeys performance in the exchange task. When we reduced the value of the exchange item, the monkeys displayed significantly improved abilities to delay gratification. This work was a follow-up of our data collection for the @manyprimates.bsky.social Delay of Gratification (MP2) call. During MP2, we had only 1 instance of reward exchange. We suspected this performance wasn’t truly representative of our monkeys’ capacity to delay gratification. (2/4)
