Dungeons & Dragons turns 50 this weekend! I got my start ~20 years ago with 3rd edition. Part of what drew me to the game was all the amazing art in the books, which turned out to be a pretty foundational influence for my artistic career. Here's to 50 more years of D&D!
2023 was a very artistically productive year. Plenty of character art, RPG covers, some really fun maps, and illustrations for two Food Network shows! I'm looking forward to what 2024 has in store - we've already got some fun stuff in the works! #artvsartist
Aside from some single-issue comics, this was everything I read in 2023. Being an illustrator is more than just being a good visual artist; it's about being a storyteller, and developing a good reading habit has benefitted my artistic pursuits greatly. Hit me with your book recommendations for 2024!
Came across a couple unfinished character designs I drew on a livestream a while back. They were based on random prompts generated by Reckless Deck cards. I need to get back to streaming art a bit.
I get so many emails like this. I wonder if the "workshop" is still for Covid safety.
