Canāt post much about my recent silence exceptā¦my parents are dealing with serious medical concerns in a system on the brink of failing and Iām in Power of Attorney caregiver kafkaland. If families with elderly assume they have plenty of time to figure things out, no they donāt.
Something Iāve felt was glaringly wrong with my second novel has been peeking out at me from the narrative brush for months and Iāve not only seen it for what it is, Iāve figured out how to fix it. Iām excited to get this resolved, even if it does mean about 5-10k in rewrites.

Period writing is a valuable exposure to have when you want to research an era, and write it true to feelā¦for the most part. Chandler writes slick barbs for his gumshoes, cold bon mots for his cops and for his femme fatales he, well yeah.
I think the publisher is still sending out the letters. When theyāre confirmed done there will be more announcements :)
