I feel the same way. I used to measure success by salary and title (and my ego still likes those things to a degree) but now it's more about the clear wins, as you stated... those things where you can see that you made a difference and contributed to a successful outcome.
Supporting libraries is low key a litmus test for the bare minimum of being a decent person. Libraries literally hurt no one and benefit some people immensely. If you are against them I assume you are incapable of understanding that other people exist.
