Racist scaremongering about housing, public services, etc has a very clear line from Powell to Jenrick, justified by "academics" like Scruton and Goodwin; and we should not pretend it is any different politically/morally to that of the National Front, BNP or EDL.

I’m sure there are some in government who are not finding government, with all its limitations (including salary) is not all they thought it would be. But I think the real story is the massive reduction in the frequency, quality, and significance of the leaks and gossip the media are feeding on.
His report on the 6pm news last night was also very defensive. As though he has realised he had gone big on something that was all a bit 🤷♂️ Had to turn Newsnight off though last night. Trying desperately to turn it into a story.
