This is going to sound silly, but by the time I was a preteen reading the Bible, it was clear to me that we had a moral duty to help each other more than we do so I decided I was a Christian communist. I'm not Christian anymore, and I'm not sure about being communist, but a lot sits with me still.

There's embarrassment and difficulty in translation of expectations that I suspect it helps, and I've seen people take first steps towards engaging with writing more as they don't feel the social friction of asking me for revisions. Cost isn't the only object. So I don't think I agree with that POV.
It brings it back to the main issues, yes, I'm just pointing out that there is in fact a pretty large market for that.

A lot of that market is going to AI generation because they have hyper specific tastes that they would rather get at mediocre quality but they can highly tailor than be beholden to someone else's vision.
There's a lot of problems with LLMs in our current model that I don't want to overlook but: yes, there is actually a market for this, as someone who supported herself for a good while on commissioned fics
