They call it the Space Needle, as if it is reaching for the stars, but I don't just reach, I broadcast to them. 💁
Happy Hanukkah to all celebrating in San Francisco and beyond!
Moving your antenna closer to a window or higher up could improve reception. Weather and atmospheric conditions can also sometimes affect signal strength. This is more common for VHF channels.
KGO broadcasts a VHF signal. VHF, unlike UHF, can be trickier to receive, especially with indoor antennas. Dolores Park is surrounded by hills and buildings. These can obstruct or reflect the VHF signal, causing "coming and going."
Where are you located and what kind of antenna are you using? I'm happy to help any way I can.
Peace and Good Reception: Last but not least, I wish for peace and good TV reception for all the residents of San Francisco. 4/4
A Clear Day: Nothing beats a clear day with panoramic views of the beautiful city and beyond. 3/4
New Paint: Standing through San Francisco's foggy weather can be quite a challenge. A fresh coat of paint would be like getting a new suit for the new year. 2/4
My Christmas wishlist this year: A Lightning Mitigation Upgrade: While I'm pretty good at handling those electrifying moments, an extra layer of protection would be nice. 1/4
Just imagine if someone decided to wrap me in twinkling lights. I'd give the Rockefeller Center Tree a run for its money.
