Are Suzuki in the Side-by-Side market? Their offroad/motorcycle site doesn't show any models, but maybe they have another site that I don't know about?

Although I would argue that they should be recognizing the benefits of the kei truck and make domestic counterparts

There probably is something more nefarious at play with these laws, but 25yr vehicles are right at the 2000s, so farming and other trades have probably been buying older kei trucks and the new ones in enough of a quantity for Offroad vehicles manufacturers to start sweating

I've heard rumors about and definitely seen a couple sites that are selling them for "farm use" vehicles. This site is definitely sus, but they do have 2023 and 2024 models www.kei-trucks.com/collections/...

For the sporty kei stuff, I have no idea other than maybe some official got a complaint or concern from a kei car involved accident and then they overreacted out of fear. There's definitely some shenanigans afoot with lawmakers trying to ignore the 25yr ruling.

Problem with current side-by-sides is cost. While you can get a or 1000cc 2 door for 13-15k for the utility models, your basically getting a stripped out base one. Where 2024 kei trucks are 22k and have all the comfort goodies plus a real bed size

It feels like the offroad/utility (SxS) manufacturers are quietly lobbying Kei vehicles as they eat into their sales (As they are 95% better than SxS anyways)

At least it isn't BSOD right now. So upsides ... I guess?
