My Pathfinder kitsune oracle, Hitomi, is explicitly autistic like me. Using her oracular magic or having prophetic visions triggers her sensory and mental overwhelm and leaves her unable to act for a time.
love this share! i have a disabling chronic illness so many of my characters have disabilities too. my earth genasi monk kouharu has a muscle-affecting Fantasy Disability (flavoured a bit after mine) bc of the resurrection ritual they underwent, with chronic pain & fatigue as a result (1/3)
A helpful reminder below… 💜 I’ve been fortunate in many ways over the years, but my story is the exception not the rule. Please consider offering whatever love and support you can on these cold nights. It is indeed noticed, as Amy here points out.
join me, please, in calling them what they are: predictive models ChatGPT is a predictive text model CoPilot is a predictive code model Stable Diffusion is a predictive image model they are not generative. they predict what something you described might be like. they do not make that thing
Today is neurodiversity celebration week. I am happy to be autistic and ADHD, even though it does cause me challenges at times, and my twin-tailed Kitsune Pathfinder character is both my favourite OC and the first one I've created to be explicitly autistic as well :)
I'm copying @geneljumalon.bsky.social 's Twitter post on this subject, but I made one for Bluesky because it's so important; these simple free actions are vital to an artist's success on this and any platform.
