eBay sellers don't mark the item shipped until you've actually handed it to the post office challenge 2024 is off to a poor start

I have the weird issue where it says Shipped, but also says the Tracking Info is unavailable for a week, and then suddenly the item just shows up and says Delivered. But there was no actual "tracking". In fact in 4 months I only ordered 3 packages, this happened to all 3. Only USPS though.

It's eBay marking it as shipped automatically once you buy a shipping label (either through eBay or through a 3rd-party service e.g. Pirate Ship that uses eBay APIs to set tracking number). And yeah it's annoying.

As has been mentioned, this is due to how ebay works, it's not really the seller's fault if they are using ebay to generate labels. Side note, always important to just go to the counter to hand over prepaid packages, that way they get marked as in USPS possession, rather than just scanned awaiting.

What the fuck? Every single order I ever fulfilled was same day processing, and if you print your own labels, and schedule a pickup with say USPS for example, you can just leave it for them, and as soon as you do, it updates as shipped even before they pick it up. Somebody is being lazy as hell.
