Plus, the difference is that we can bully the hell out of the Harris administration to do what should have been done from the beginning. Trump? Trump we have absolutely no chance, because we'll be too busy trying to reverse the damage he's doing at home. We can't help Gaza by self flagellating.
Trump will burn our nation to the ground with his insane policies. Worse- all Netenyahu has to do is whisper a few honeyed words into his ear and- oops! The Marine Corps been deployed to the strip to do the job faster! Our options are Bad, and Worse. At least with Bad, we have SOMETHING to work on.
Because it's clear to me that there's a whole lot of willful misrepresentation of my point- here goes. At worst, Harris doesn't budge, US support remains as is. At best, this gives us more time to build a better coalition and a stronger resistance. Our opposition will not afford us that chance.
They've never been able to explain to me how making it worse for everyday Americans will be a victory for Gazans. I literally don't get it
This is the thing: pick the politician you have the most hope of pressuring, always. Harris is the most open to left pressure presidential candidate since maybe FDR
if you think you can get something from the democrats once they are in power then you are either 12 years old and have no experience of them, or 80 years old and losing your faculties.
Why do you think "bullying" Harris on Israel will accomplish anything?
