republicans are actively trying to remove women's rights - all their rights. they started with abortion because it was the easiest to attack once they had successfully loaded SCOTUS. Currently they're attacking voting rights, no fault divorce - their working towards removing all rights.
That makes a lot more sense now. I couldn’t understand what the big deal was about not allowing non-citizens from voting. Let them shut down the government then, I don’t think Republicans will fair well if they do. Democrats need to get out to the public what this bill means.
They have made it no secret they want to go after the voting rights of women.
This is in absolutely no way a defense of the SAVE act when I say this (and is future proof of the impotence of this bill) but it won't prevent them from voting in 2024, only from registering to vote, and we're already pretty close to voter registration deadlines. It won't impact much this year.
