The morphing of "news" into "analysis by way of punditry" means that many "trusted" sources that people follow are engagement-sweaty take-havers that are doing the same things CNN etc do with every substack they pump out

Bums me out that so many "political junkies" are pure stenographers w/a list of podcasters & substackers they form parasocial relationships with & are not actually thinking for themselves. Because reskeeting an opinion with "this" or "once again So-and-So nails it" is easier than forming one's own
