I'm exhausted. I'm tired of having these conversations while the list of names grows longer and longer every year. Marcellus deserved better. To any black folks out there who come across this, please take care of yourselves tonight.
I will never understand the death penalty and I will especially never understand how politicians can sanction the murder of people they know are innocent.
If you ask me, bullet dodged. I spent so many years in that game and I kind of wish I could get that time back. It had its fun moments, but so much of it was grinding for the sake of grinding. Not worth the investment imo
People aren't just innately incompetent, incompetence comes from a poor or non-existent education. Unfortunately gamers have had the "Git Gud" pill shoved down their throats and don't want to change their minds on the issue because they see themselves as the good ones.
The issue, of course, was that the developers' and the community's approach to fixing this was to simply lock those players out of the content and force them into LFG groups instead of making the content widely available and allowing players to learn that side of the game on their own terms.
The common response to the question: "Why don't raids have matchmaking?" was always: "The average player isn't prepared for raids and won't be able to handle the coordination required." which is certainly true. In my experience raiding, most players just weren't equipped to handle the content.
It's a real problem in gamer culture that we are led to believe the vast majority of people are just incompetent instead of rightfully placing the blame on the onboarding structure of the game itself. This was a massive problem back when I played raids in Destiny.
Every time I think about letting my hair grow out, the chaos gremlin in my head reminds me of how hot I look with short hair. One day I will have beautiful locks but not today!
And while setting boundaries is starting to feel more necessary as the years go by, I know it's going to cause nuclear levels of fallout and might have unintended consequences. But like, how does one just politely sit there nodding their head while their family falls deeper into an echo chamber?
