Our domestic fridges are set between 5° and 8° C as food safe. Standard for our freezers is generally –18° C. I have no clue what that might be in #forgottenheit.

So the FDA says food safe is 40F or below. Health Canada mimics that temp, at 4c. Sounds like your fridge is too warm by NA standards. Apparently the Europe temps are at 5-8. Not sure if there's a reason for that related to the food, but quite the difference. We all agree on freezers though!
