If anyone is interested in numbers, ASU has almost 6k solar shaded parking spots: cfo.asu.edu/solar

Many are working on it! ASU campus has them up on many parking structures already and there’s an SRP program you can opt into that builds more among other renewable projects.

I know many people who live here who are mostly or entirely energy independent. We definitely need to do more to push SRP & APS to convert more, and to upgrade Palo Verde for baseline power so more coal can close down (ideally all of them).

I don't get the fixation on AC. We don't all die when the power goes out in the summer (and it has!). Homes are built to keep heat out. But also, rooftop solar is growing so fast here, as is commercial parking cover solar. Solar continues to grow at the individual and utility level.

We Mesa voters approved $127 million dollars to do a massive upgrade to the reclamation plant which just finished. There's a lot of long term planning in place: www.mesaaz.gov/residents/wa...

They are, though both my BA experience and my institution now are all private so being public or private doesn't much change how good a school is about accommodations in my experience.

Coursework is not like employed work, at all and most academics forget that. The time crunches and the nature of the work create extra load on the ADHD brain that is not there with real world work. It just isn't. So needing changes for coursework does not say anything about success at employed work.

When he was a kid no one smart who managed decent grades got diagnosed. He's attending my institution for his 5th try at a BA. We had to get so much documentation, and remind the school all the time that he has extra time. He still struggles. He has a good, well paid job he is good at.

I am unmistakably disabled. If you see me try and walk far even with the cane it is clear I don't walk well. Think for a moment how much more skeptical people are of those who aren't so visible. Part two of this thread is my husband, who at 50 finally got an ADHD diagnosis.

And yet people think accommodations are just handed out to anyone who asks. I have to justify parking in campus disabled spots every single year with additional paperwork even though I have a permanent state placard and a mobility scooter, which they make the students fill out annually as well.
