Same, I’ve still only played the first game in the series.
Glad I was able to showcase his work to you! I had not played a 2.5d game before researching thecatamites, but Anthology of the Killer is definitely an interesting game.
It's been a week since I released Unrendered on itch, and I was surprised by the results. More people saw and played the game than any of my past games, which was a nice surprise. Below are my analytics from the past week, which includes over 100 browser plays! On to Project 2 next! #SmallGameStudio
I’m a computer science major so I’ve done a bit of coding, but gameplay programming is a little different. There’s still the basics that are good to know like conditional statements and for loops, but also learning some of the Unity documentation is probably very helpful.
Finished putting together a presentation (pecha kucha style) about Stephen Gillmurphy, aka thecatamites, last night. I found his work to be very unique with its 2D hand-drawn sprites in both 2D and 3D worlds. #SmallGameStudio
Wow the lighting in this looks really cool!
Ooh I like that idea too, maybe you could do that in a future project?
Unrendered, a game about exploring a creepy dark parking garage. I was busy over the weekend so did not get as much done as I had hoped, but I'm happy with the final product. Check it out at tyger8540.itch.io/unrendered#SmallGameStudio
I followed a tutorial to make the game dark, so from the outside you can't see anything until I enable a directional light.
