Today, it was our great honour to present a Ginkgo tree to Japan’s Ambassador to Ireland, Mr Norio Maruyama. The tree germinated in UCC from the seeds of a 200-year-old tree which survived the detonation of a nuclear bomb over Hiroshima in 1945.
