It's such a hopeless feeling. Our hospital does nothing - no air purifiers, no masked staff, nothing. You're 100% on your own. I don't understand it from an infection control point of view. What a nightmare!
Jarret, I called the pedi's office right after this post and asked them if they have air purifiers or what they're doing to stop virus spread. They told me they don't do anything and I can mask. My toddler can't (he's just two and we're working on it)! It's outrageous. Appointment canceled.
It's shocking. I had to see a hematologist, who is housed in our cancer center. I was the only one masked - not the front desk staff, not the nurses, not the doctors, and not the other patients. I couldn't believe it!
That's outrageous! I am so upset that masking is not mandatory in healthcare settings. One of my friend's had her little book at a children's hospital in the PICU earlier this year and he caught COVID there. She was shocked - but of course he did.
I should *not* have to be worrying that my toddler (who is still learning about masking) is going to catch COVID or not at the freaking doctor's office. Masking should be mandatory in healthcare.

I had a thought this morning that Calvin's doing pretty good. We haven't had an accident in the house in a while. Five minutes ago he just hopped up on the couch and peed everywhere. Perfect. Good. Great. Thanks. Awesome. Wow.
I'm really *really* hoping it isn't and that we don't have to move the mattress downstairs - it's going to be such a pain.
