It is understandably hard, as a book lover, when you do it the first few times, (and stripping paperbacks is different from weeding a library collection,) but I’ve done both - Kroch’s and Brentano’s in the early ‘80s - and don’t even wince any more.
Only when they’re falling apart from overuse and we’ve ordered a replacement!
What is common knowledge in your field but shocks outsiders? Libraries regularly throw away/recycle books and that’s okay.
What is the best reason to use when reporting? Guessing it's "other" but then what?
