Ultimately, there many folks in FL, GA, NC, & TN who are in need of urgent assistance--and that is/should be foremost priority. But to those insisting that "this is not the time!" to have those other conversations, I say: This is *exactly* when we need to be having them. [19/n]

obviously those in need of assistance is top priority. I know that this might feel, for those of you who are kind of deep in the climate camp, as a bit uncomfortable - whatever those other conversations might be, they continue to fall short in providing any tangible relief whatsoever.

Thank you. Here in Los Angeles County, we have to squarely face retreat. If 2 wet winters in a row can trigger a deep landslide covering several square miles, then we need to reevaluate whether $ is better spent on retreating instead of repairing www.latimes.com/california/s...
