E. Lily Yu signs off her TERF diatribe with a citation to Isaiah 53 that I think it is important to question. I won’t quote her directly because fuck that, but the gist is the greatest love is one that doesn’t mind if it’s despised. You can see how this reading would soothe an angry TERF.

Sometimes being despised just means you're despicable.

As usual with the God-fearing subspecies of TERF, she misreads Isaiah. Isaiah 53 is a prophecy that foretells the coming of Christ, who did indeed suffer for his comparatively radical beliefs (including, btw, Matt 19:12).
