But it’s definitely the kind of thing where it’s where SP should have put a proper full stop on the themes they’re trying to express and instead opted to let the player choose the end which in my opinion is very, very bad. Gears of War 5 did this exact thing too.
I dug it even though I think it’s bizarre it doesn’t get criticised for the same things other open world games do (checklist based POIs and loads of filler). I think the thing I’m specifically referring to is like right right at the end of the game as an epilogue? Can’t quite remember.
If there's one thing I hope Ghost of Yotei does is not offerring the player a choice at the end. Choice and consequence has a place in games but shoehorning in a big player decision at the end really soured the ending of Ghost of Tsushima for me tbh.
