Yeah, I feel you. Recently got back into MLP a couple years ago, and outside of like a single olyfactory plushie and some redbubble stickers, I ain't got shit cause all the official merch of G4 is either still in the hands of fans or really expensive.

yeah, and you basically either got to rely on 3rd party merch e.g. fan-made works and bootlegs (which, while good, don't support the show directly), or praying to god you can get a good deal on sites like ebay or facebook marketplace for some merch/media
Yeah. Also doesn't help if the show stopped airing years ago and all the high quality merch has long since discontinued like MLP:FIM or Madoka Magika, or if current media has really poor masters like what happened with DBZ and sailor moon
I remember someone recently posting a bit where he was upset that people were pirating instead of buying DVDs and merch, and while I get his point at this point like 90% of shows unless they're massively marketable like mando and stranger things get like no merch or home media release.
