Book snobs have such disdain for kids lit/YA Kids and YA lit are not ālesserā literature. So many of them are gems, some are even more impressive, engaging and well-written than adult Adult lit doesnāt mean itās āsmartā or make you smart. Itās certainly not superior
I think itās embarrassing or loser behaviour when you lie about your favourite books to appear intelligent to your peers/teachers
Opened up an email response from an agent that Iāve been ignoring for a month and it wasnāt good news, but they left words of encouragement ā¤ļøāš©¹ We querying writers would be just starving out here, searching for some love no matter how bittersweet š„²
It might be small and I might be feeding on crumbs but getting a rejection with some encouraging words (minus feedback) really does help š
Feeling like I'm falling far behind and my stories aren't going to see the light of day. That no one would ever "connect" to them or need them I don't know what to do
