Happy #FossilFriday! Today I’m continuing to share cool mounts I saw while in South America, this time featuring Pelagornis! Pelagornis was the largest bird to ever fly, and those sharp protrusions you see in its mouth are not teeth, but are in fact bony extensions of the beak itself! 🧪⚒️
Someone should make a feed specifically for paleoartists. That way not only can we see a stream of cool paleoart, but it's also an easy way to find artists to commission
The collapse of Twitter has made it much harder for me to advertise myself and my work. I illustrate bones and skeletons, mostly of dinosaurs and pterosaurs. I offer heavy discounts for academic customers. Further examples of my work: www.skyemcdavid.com/gallery
Everyone should go watch Mario Lanzas’ animated short #ANTEDILUVIANdinodadreviews.com/2024/09/24/a...
An absolutely gorgeous animated tribute to early paleoart.
This spam email is slightly amusing. We'll allow 15% of your article to be plagiarized, but no more.
You‘ve been kidnapped. The characters from the last tv show you watched are trying to rescue you. Who is coming to save you? I think I’m in good hands?
Had a blast looking at dicynodonts at the Iziko South African Museum this week!!! Great Karoo fossil collection, managed by great people
