Woke up to insane winds but we still have power, internet, and no damage done from what I can see. The worst is already over.

For the house to flood would mean the rest of the neighborhood would be completely under water, so I think that’s unlikely, too. Our basement is higher than many of the roofs of other houses in the same block, even.

Seriously, I just had a weird itch about the massive tree that was leaning over the house earlier this month so I paid to get it removed, and boy am I so damn glad I did. It probably would fall in this storm if it still existed.
