RECONCILIATION ACTION GROUP OF CALGARY/MOHKINSTSIS December 11, 2023 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE RE: RCMP Preservation of Evidence Robert Pickton Investigation To: British Columbia Premier - David Eby Federal Public Safety Minister – Dominic LeBlanc British Columbia Attorney General – Niki Sharma Commissioner of the RCMP – Mike Duheme The Reconciliation Action Group recently learned of the RCMP application to the courts to dispose of 14,000 pieces of evidence collected during the investigation into former Port Coquitlam pig farmer Robert (Willie) Pickton. We strongly condemn this application and request that it is withdrawn immediately, and all evidence is preserved. There are at least 30 victims that have not been recovered that match the timeframe and location of this predator that deserve to be found.
