ooo it's a really strong game. even though it's part of the "heaven & earth saga", it was confirmed to be a sort of prequel to actraiser, another quintet game. the combat mechanics are a bit jank but once you get the hang of the range, it's a great experience
Actraiser 2 (SNES) Actraiser 2 is an action platformer with intricate gliding controls and lots of attack options. The action was hugely upgraded from 1 and the flight controls are very satisfying once you nail them down. It could really use a tutorial stage. Ending sequence is absolutely amazing.

13/ Actraiser This combines hardcore platforming with simple God mechanics. It shouldn't work, but it does. Each level has you clearing out an area of beasties, before settling the land and then defeating a boss. Followers with ask for requests and your land will slowly grow. Great music, too.
Actraiser. Really unique combination of a platformer and town sim. Can be a bit sparse but it pulls it off well. Haven’t played the remake yet.
ActRaiser was the game that most impressed in the early days of the SNES. The light Populous gameplay bookended by very pretty action/platformer bits was pretty nice. But the soundtrack is what really got me. Nothing put the SNES sound chip through its paces like this Yuzo Koshiro composition!
