I'd still argue that the open corruption of the last few years of the Tories was at a level we shouldn't forget. But that doesn't mean we should turn a blind eye to *less corruption*. And we certainly shouldn't ignore racism, genocide, climate apathy, transphobia and exploitation.

the struggle against that apathy is rough. while i'm emerging on the other side of burnout now, i still get hit with "why bother" so so much

Reach the people who can be reached, the people who care and listen, and literally leave them other folks alone. They are annoying. Your attempts to make them see sense is annoying. Your calling out the incredulousness of their apathy is annoying. They want to waste your time. Don't let them.
