Fixed this Atari 800XL tonight that was booting into the RAM test. I replaced all the unreliable MT RAM with 64Kx1 Motorola MCM6665BP15 DRAM chips and now it works great! $20 fix. #atari8bit#atari800xl#retrocomputing
Started some posts on Atari Projects about getting started with fixing 8-bit computers. The second thing you need is an oscilloscope atariprojects.org/2024/09/29/p...#atariprojects#atari8bit#electronics

Fixed this lovely Atari 800XL over the weekend that was booting to black screen. A new GTIA got it to boot to cursor, but no BASIC. A new POKEY fixed it all the way. Sound was weak. Had to replace the C64 capacitor in sound amplifier circuit. #atari8bit#atari#retrocomputing
One of my two stock Atari 600XLs with an RF video feed to this Sharp TV that I bought new in the early 2000s just for this purpose. It is running the classic Mac/65 Assembler from a new 4-in-1 cartridge. #atari8bit
Amongst my bootsale bits today were these #Atari8bit@tonyfishlock.bsky.social#Atari 130XE down in a while to test them. If they don't work, I've paid £3 for some blank disks 🤷♀️
A quick post to end the week, with Time Capsule. A completely unknown strategy action game that was listed as coming soon at the back of the manual for Aliants. Nothing else is known at this stage. Possibly for #AtariST,#PC,#Commdore64,#Atari8bit#AppleIIwww.gamesthatwerent.com/2024/09/time...
A very short entry for a title that was advertised within the manual of Aliants at the very end. Time Capsure was listed as "Coming Soon" and was a strategy action game.

And finally, here are some screenshots of Airball on other computers. In order: DOS (EGA), DOS (CGA), Atari 8-bit and Dragon 32/64, which is the very first version of the game! (entirely developed by Edward Scio) 🧵 3/ #Airball#Microdeal#RetroGaming#EdwardScio#Dragon32#Atari8bit#DOSGaming
