I did not spend my childhood watching Britcoms to not know what a V-sign is

I think the reason why I love this is all the jokes about the John Hurt Moment on britcoms I clhave watched over the years.
They’re nice cosy, hygge, TV but not rippingly funny. Apart from Rising Damp, Porridge, Perrin, Blackadder, Detectorists and Spaced, all Britcoms are pretty lame imho. That ain’t a great hit rate for 50 years.
All those late evenings watching Britcoms on public TV finally paying off.
We had only two tvs most of my life, and one was a small b&w tv in the kitchen, and no cable. If it was broadcast, we were allowed to watch it... ...but my parents had the remote in the evenings. Mostly we watched PBS, but that included Mystery, Masterpiece Theater, and various Britcoms.
I just had a fun classic britcoms night with my Sister. So many shows are on our list but tonight be got to, “Are you being Served”, “Keeping up Appearances”, “The Victor of Dibley” & “Chef!”
When I was a kid/teen, I was embarrassed people would find out I was a gamer (was fine with the anime and Britcoms though…) and now I’m starting to be embarrassed by being gamer-adjacent again. Just…the worst.
Luckily that's incredibly my jam. I grew up on Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker, and a mess of Britcoms.
